It Is What It Is

So this is how my life is going at the moment:

I work 9 hours a day at a regular job that requires two hours of travel time to get to and from. I write, record and produce a podcast novel trilogy in where the first book isn’t even finished yet. I promote said podcast novel everywhere I can (and I think I’m doing a pretty damn good job). I’m trying to work out a publishing deal for the trilogy. I’m reading and editing a friends novel while also trying to fit in some reading time of my own. I’m active in about half-a-dozen social media sites trying to interact with fans, friends and peers as best I can–including MySpace, facebook, Twitter, and some Ning sites. I’m a member of a few forums where I try and post on a regular basis so people don’t forget who I am. I constantly try and think of new ways to get my work out there but my inner light bulb is a bit dim at the moment. Although it did have a brilliant flash early this morning which I’m quite proud of (more on that soon). Somewhere in there I have to give my kitty some loving too.

Oh, and I do all of this EVERYDAY!

And I know I’m forgetting some stuff.

I’m not sleeping well. I have circles under my eyes and lately I’ve developed a dull thud behind my frontal lobe area and a sore neck. Maybe it’s a tumor?

“It’s not a tumor,” I say in my best Arnie voice.

Regardless, the bottom line is I feel very stretched. Somewhere in there I also have my personal relationships with friends and loved ones to maintain as well.

Yes, it’s not easy being me…

but it’s a hell of a lot of fun.
